Hi my name is Mariamawit. I am a third year student at George Mason University and a second year campus ministry student. I also serve on the executive board of our campus ministry. I have gained many invaluable insights and blessings (both spiritual and earthly) from my time in campus ministry, and I’ve been honored to learn from the wisdom of our Church through the brothers and sisters I have found through this service. I have learned about Dogmatic Theology and The Sacraments of the Church among many other things in my campus ministry classes. Mason being a commuter school, it was very difficult to make meaningful connections and have a community with shared values, which was something that was a priority to me as an international student. And had it not been for this ministry, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that my experience in Mason would have been a lot harder. But thanks to God, and His work through this ministry, I was able to find a community of like-minded people who encourage me to grow spiritually and also be able to pass the torch and strive to be a light to the Mason community and beyond. Glory to God for everything and God bless this ministry!
